Noccalula Falls
(The Backyard Adventure)

I have been going to Noccalula Falls since I was in diapers, and now my daughter is growing up going here too. It has changed so much over the years and keeps getting better. The landscaping is beautifully done and well maintained. I am so glad that is just 15 minutes away from where we live. Once season tickets go up for sale in March, my daughter and I go here nearly weekly until it ends at the end of October. We also go to see the Christmas Lights every December. It is not only a great place to take the kids, but I also do a lot of photo shoots inside and around the park. In this blog, I will show you everything I love about this park. I do not always take my DSLR cameras and gear with me to the park. So parts of this blog has pictures that were taken with my cell phone, because the best camera is the one you have on hand with you to capture the moment.

As soon as we arrive, we get on the train. Our first stop is ALWAYS the petting zoo and animal exhibits. There are llamas, goats, sheep, deer, miniature horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, a lion, and so much more. Then we go to the rock area (Fat Man Squeeze). We usually go to Jack's after this and eat a milk shake. It is just part of our tradition. Then, we go to the park and play the rest of the afternoon in the newly renovated park.

Here are a few recent snapshots, from my phone, that I took the other day:

This video was taken last fall

I took my professional gear with me on this day. We have ventured down the the Falls. This was during summer 2014. There was very little rain and the Falls were very light.

This next photo was taken Fall 2012. The colors that year were so breathtaking.

Here are some of my favorite portraits that I have done inside and around the Falls over the years.

The Covered Bride is actually named Gilliland's Covered Bridge, but I changed it via photo shop for fun and for this family.

And I have had one wedding at the cute little wedding chapel

After starting this blog post, I realized I did not have very many photos of the petting zoo, train, or exterior of the park. I will definitely remedy that in the next week or so and add them to this blog. It is a great park to visit and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outdoor fun day adventure. There is also a campground. My family will be camping for the first time ever there, at the end of this month. I will also go back and add those experiences to this blog.

If you enjoyed this blog and love this park, please leave me a comment about what you like to see pictured in the updated blog post about Noccalula Falls.
